A Intimate Elopement Wedding in Edmonton, Alberta

This elopement reignited everything I love about love. 🤍
It was the kind of day that reminds you—deep in your bones—that you don’t need all the bells and whistles. You don’t need a year of planning. You just need your person.

This couple reached out to me on a Saturday morning with a simple question: what if we just did it? By that afternoon, we were on a Zoom call dreaming things up, and by Sunday they were exchanging vows in the snow, overlooking the river valley. It was a warm winter day—the kind where the sun softens everything and time seems to slow—making the moment feel even more surreal. After ten years together and five years engaged, they decided on Friday to trust that everything would fall into place. And beautifully, it did.

The day unfolded with ease and intention. We started with portraits at Government House, then made our way to the Oliver Exchange Building for a few photos that felt classic and timeless. From there, it was off to Farrow on 124th, followed by cake cutting and sweet little moments at Kind Ice Cream—simple, joyful, and perfectly them. No rushing, no expectations, just space to breathe and be present.

All You Need is Your Person

Government House in Edmonton, Alberta is such a gem of a location. The structure of the building is incredibly beautiful, offering so many different choices and elements for intimate vows and photos. From the classic architecture to the quiet, tucked-away corners, every angle feels intentional and timeless. Another bonus? It’s so easily accessible to downtown Edmonton, making it effortless to continue your wedding-day adventures—whether that means wandering city streets for portraits, stopping for cake and coffee, or chasing a few more meaningful moments together.

As a photographer, days like this are everything. They strip love back to its core—connection, choice, and commitment. No performance. No pressure. Just two people honoring their story in a way that feels deeply personal and fully their own.

Days like this make me want more couples to explore this way of getting married—intentional, effortless, and fully theirs. Because when you follow your gut and choose each other first, the rest really does fall into place. 🤍
