There’s something incredibly beautiful about watching two people forget the camera is even there.
This engagement session was exactly that.
Right where earth meets water, these two stepped into their own little world. There were gentle splashes, quiet moments along the river, laughter, closeness, vulnerability, and those in-between moments that you can’t really plan for. The kind of moments that happen when you stop worrying about how things are supposed to look and simply let go.
And honestly? Those are my favorite moments to photograph.
Their session wasn’t about perfectly posed photos or following some predetermined list of “must-have” engagement pictures. It was about connection.
All You Need is Your Person
It was about the way they naturally move toward each other. The way they play. The way they laugh. The way they can be completely vulnerable and comfortable in each other’s presence.
They were completely in their own world.
And I was lucky enough to freeze a little piece of that world in time.

think there’s this idea that engagement sessions need to look a certain way.
Maybe you picture a beautiful field at golden hour, walking hand in hand while your photographer tells you where to stand. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that if that feels like you!

What if you’re happiest hiking through the mountains?
